I live in São Paulo, Brazil, but I’m from the countryside. Brazilian people love their cars, but it’s difficult to drive in São Paulo—there are too many cars and it’s very, very slow. There’s a good public transportation system and a lot of people use the subway or buses and the suburban train. More and more people go to work by bike, but I don’t. I think bikes are dangerous in the city. The best way to travel downtown is by subway, but it’s very crowded in the mornings. In the countryside, a lot of people drive, of course, or they use buses. In my village, I go everywhere by bike.
