Audioscript

One of my favorite places in the world is Lake Titicaca. It’s between Bolivia and Peru and is, oh, about four thousand meters above sea level. The water is always very, very cold. I go there every year with my family, and we stay in a small town near the lake. When I’m there, I usually go out on the lake in a boat, and sometimes I visit one of the small islands. Sometimes there are big waves on the lake, but it’s usually very quiet. So why do I like the lake? Well, I love its deep blue color, and it’s a great place to relax.

TG = Tourist Guide

TG:   What type of walking tour are you looking to go on?

Do you enjoy live shows? Broadway is an iconic street in New York, featuring many famous theaters, including The Broadway Theater. If you don’t love theater, you could go watch a movie at one of the movie theaters there.

During Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street is the place to be to participate in the annual parade, as people dance and sing in front of local stores and homes. Do you love celebrities? Go to the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard to find the golden stars of your favorite performers.

Would you like to see the official residence and workplace of the President of the U.S.A.? Just stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue to snap a selfie in front of the White House.

If shopping is on your mind, 5th Avenue in New York, Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, and Michigan Avenue in Chicago have high-end stores with the latest in fashion. You’ll find local stores, banks, and pharmacies for any other common purchases you need.

If you’re more interested in a cultural tour, consider Calle Ocho in Miami, Beale Street in Memphis, or Canyon Road in Santa Fe. There you’ll find museums, restaurants, cafes, and monuments to historical figures.
